The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (CKCS) is a British breed of toy dog of spaniel type. Four colours are recognised: Blenheim, tricolour (black/white/tan), black and tan, and ruby; the coat is smooth and silky. The lifespan is usually between eight and twelve years.
The breed was developed in the United Kingdom, typically found in home environments as a companion.
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is known for its friendly and affectionate nature, making it an excellent companion dog. It has a playful and gentle demeanor, and it is often great with children and other pets. Their characteristic silky, smooth coat comes in four colors: Blenheim, tricolor, black and tan, and ruby.
